POLA's Life Science Research: Red light
Our latest research on light lead us to an innovative idea of selecting light.

We focused on the fact that sunlight—which until now was thought to cause aging of the skin—also contained "red light," which has positive effects on the skin.

Featuring POLA's original formulation "Select Protection Veil." It allows red light to penetrate into the skin while protecting it from UV and near-infrared rays, which are both known to cause damage to the skin.

What is "red light"?
Light from the visible spectrum with a long wavelength of 620-660 nm.

This light possesses the power to positively affect the skin. Because UV and near-infrared rays have considerable negative effects on the skin, the existence of red light has been overlooked until today. However, B.A focused on protecting the skin against UV and near-infrared rays while letting in the red light.

Apply in the morning. After conditioning skin, take an appropriate amount on your hand and apply evenly to the area you wish to avoid sunburn.
